Procurement specialists can identify the correct Norwegian business before moving forward. The assistant shows candidate names and looks up registry details once you have made your choice.
Can I retrieve key financial figures and annual accounts?
Explicitly request year-tagged key figures and submitted years. A selected year's scanned document can be provided as a time-limited link when the document service is available; Brreg does not interpret it.
Which companies match our industry and municipality?
Search by industry, municipality, organizational form, and employee ranges. The assistant displays ranked business matches page by page, without individual roles or bulk export.
Which entities belong together?
Brreg shows parent entities, sub-entities, and public agency hierarchies. These are registry relationships, not share ownership or board members.
Who is registered nearby?
Find businesses near a map point or another business, closest first. The registered address is not necessarily the operating location.
Which companies are closest to each other?
Compare straight-line distances between registered business addresses. Brreg calculates neither driving distance nor travel time.
How can I use Brreg without an API key?
Choose access in the store, add https://brreg.publifye.com/mcp, and log in with your Publifye account via OAuth. Ask the assistant to check freshness with snapshot_status; you will get the age of the underlying data.
How can I use Brreg when I only know the company name?
Say "Find this company name". The assistant uses entity_resolve, lets you choose if there is ambiguity, and retrieves the registry entry with entity_lookup.
How can I use Brreg for an industry overview?
Provide the industry, municipality, and employee limits to the assistant. It finds the filter codes using code_list and uses entity_search; you get matches and the next page via cursor.
How can I use Brreg for industry comparison and annual accounts?
Ask the assistant to use entity_financials for key figures, industry figures, and submitted years. Select a year; the same tool with document_year provides a document link or explains why it is missing.
How can I use Brreg for hierarchy and proximity?
Ask for both affiliation and neighbors. The assistant uses entity_structure and entity_nearby; you get separate overviews of registry hierarchy and geographic proximity.
What access do I need?
Check the store for Personal, Business, and current quotas; Business is a separate purchase. Self-hosting is under development: request a quote on the product page with your needs and desired start date; delivery is agreed in writing.
Is this the official registry?
Brreg is independent and uses open Brønnøysund data under NLOD. Check freshness with snapshot_status and verify critical information at virksomhet.brreg.no.
What about personal data?
No individual roles, dates of birth, sole proprietorship contact details, or bulk exports are displayed. The security log contains account, IP, tool, and outcome; search queries are not stored, and looked-up organisasjonsnummer are not linked to you.
How do I pay?
You pay by card via Stripe; we do not see your card details. Check the store, and log in with the same account after payment; self-hosting has an agreed start date.
How do I stop renewal or cancel?
Stop future renewals from your account; access remains active for the rest of the paid period. See the terms for consumer right of withdrawal and payment for delivered access; business purchases are subject to different rules.
